yeah, the boltgun and the slug pistol from UT were very similar. this one's a rifle though, but they do a pistol version (it's not a great deal smaller.) check out [link] if you dunno what series this guy's from.

ooh! gameshop! yeah, i never really looked into that stuff, but the concept designs are pretty damn good.

yeah, it was great for its time.. the fact that the original SS First Encounter was set in Egypt and has quite a lot of historical factuality kind of
pretty much conflicts the fact that really it is just UT with even more weapon impracticalities, and an alien-invasion-based story line that doesnt even make a wink of sense.
all up: good wholesome family fun with an MA15+ rating. [at least.. i think so ]

Sw33t. glad you dig, i do like the boltguns. been playing DA for about 10 years now.

I may look into the game, but i dunno, i'm more of a gritty shoot-em-up kinda guy. i'll get round to it at some point no doubt.

i have indeed, i've just never put the art up. they're a good race on DoW for certain.

Yeah execpt theres one problem. If you've ever played the miniture game the crisis kicks ass(they could consider the backbone of the Tau army), but they suck in DoW. It's agrivateing when there best super unit is the kroot beast. The 40k story line makes such big deal about them not useing melee. But other than that I like 'em.

i reckon their's people that can make awesome use of them... i feel like installing Dark crusade now...

I only have DoW no expansions, you're so lucky! I have to invade other peoples houses to play expansions. AHHAHAHAHAHA!
